“Filipa helped us have our dream destination wedding from NYC!
It was everything we could have asked for and felt like a true fairytale in a castle on the beach.

We had lots of special requests that she was able to accommodate without hesitation. Every answer was “yes” or “we can find a way”. She agreed to have our ceremony aisle facing a different direction than was traditional at our chosen venue, which turned out to be the most perfect choice for us. She helped us coordinate and communicate with vendors such as musicians, DJ, decorators, and photographers.

On the day of the wedding she was very involved but behind the scenes, fixing my vail before I walked down the aisle and making sure the seat cushions did not get wet from a light drizzle before the ceremony.

She went through several rounds of edits helping tailor our wedding preferences to exactly what we wanted at Forte Da Cruz. We live in the US so we were only able to visit once in advance of the wedding. She helped walk us through the venue to ensure that it would be set up how we wanted.

We unfortunately had bad weather the weekend of the wedding and the day before had to change several aspects and locations of the wedding. She was so helpful to relieve my stress and come up with a back up plan the morning of the wedding. I was shocked when getting to the venue how perfectly it was set up. She made the process go much more smoothly than if my husband and I tried to plan it ourselves!! Planning a wedding is hard, but planning a wedding overseas? That’s out of our comfort zone for sure. So we found our venue but didn’t know where to begin. Filipa gave us excellent options and advice on what to choose for our fairytale, by-the-beach wedding. …and to add a cherry on top, on our wedding night, she was able to make it last a few more precious hours longer with our friends and families at the venue.
